Beyond the beautiful beaches, luxury hotel and the wonderful sun there is another reality. Not to far from the touristic places are people who suffer with out just cause. Most tourist who travel to Cuba pass right by these unfortunate people but do not even bother to see beyond their world. These people who suffer on a daily basis deserve your our help.

If you choose to travel to Cuba we ask that you add something more to your itinerary. Along with your swimsuit we ask that you take with you democracy, solidarity and high hopes of a peaceful change.

Please visit their website for more information on what they are asking.

Ladies in White or "Damas de Blanco" is an opposition movement in Cuba that unites the spouses and other relatives of dissidents jailed by Castro's communist regime. The women protest the imprisonment's by attending Mass each Sunday wearing white dresses and then silently walking through the streets dressed in white clothing. Just as the white bracelets, their white clothes symbolize peace.

The current regime opposes such organizations and as a result has groups of its supporters countering the protests made by them. Several of the women have been detained and threatened by the police and that their homes have been ransacked.

In 2005, the pro-government Federation of Cuban Women sent 150 women to counter-protest the group.

As mentioned before they need donations mainly in basic necessities such as vitamins and medicine...please click below:
