WHY WEAR THE BRACELET?
 
THERE ARE MANY REASONS WHY IT IS IMPERATIVE FOR EVERYONE TO SHOW THEIR SUPPORT FOR HUMAN RIGHTS BY WEARING THE BRACELET.

                                                                                
1. We show that we stand in Solidarity with the Cuban Youth and dissidents who oppose that regime!
 
2. It is a peaceful protest against Cuba breaking the Declaration of Human Rights drafted by the United Nations (and yes Cuba is part of the UN).

3. If people notice several people wearing a white bracelet they will ask about it. For every person that asks, it is a chance to inform someone about the suffering, lack of human rights and injustices that continue to go on in Cuba. We can teach people and expose them to a situation they would otherwise be blind to.
 
4. If a small group of people protest and complain they will be ignored or brushed off. However, if we manage to get the support of hundreds of thousands of people it will make a differece. We can show that it is not just a small group of individuals but instead, a rather large group. If so many people protest it will be noticed that there are huge problems and that they must be solved. If a large number of us participate the media, the unlookers, the governement and the United Nations WILL TAKE US SERIOUSLY!
 
WHY NOT LET THE CUBANS SOLVE THEIR OWN PROBLEMS?
 
This problem does not only concern Cubans it concerns anyone who supports that all humans have and deserve unalienable rights. In Cuba they break all the articles of the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights. It is not fair for any human to have to endure such suffering.
 
For 48 years the cruel and violent dictatorship that exists in Cuba has been able to punish and arrest all those who try to regain their rights. The Cuban people suffer enough, it is time that someone from outside do something about it.
 
The United Nations is not upholding their mission and their goals.
 
This is not only about the fact that they are extremely poor in Cuba. Poverty is unfortunate but it is not as bad as having nothing at all. Fellow humans do not deserve to live with no rights.
WHY DON'T THE PEOPLE IN CUBA WEAR THE BRACELET OR DO SOMETHING?
 
For 48 years people who have wanted to liberate Cuba from within the island have been giving it their all. However, for 48 years it has not been successful for many reasons. In Cuba, they are severely opressed in Cuba and the regime knows exactly how to keep themselves in power.
 
They brainwash kids from an early age; they don't provide them with proper nurishment; and they take away their other basic needs so that they can only think survival, rather than fighting back.  Finally, they give idiots weapons and put them in power. This is a sad truth, but there is hope.
 
In addition, people are marching, tand fighting back right now. The least we can do is show our support and stand in solidarity with them.
